From Ridge to Reef
Welcome to the Bontoc Seaview Guesthouse! We guarantee a travel and “staycation” experience you will rave about for a long, long time. Quaint and rustic, and always clean, the place is owned and operated by us, Romy and Anne Trono, and our three children.
The Guesthouse, which is also our home, showcases authentic structural, architectural, and interior designs from Anne’s hometown in Bontoc, Mountain Province in northern Philippines. The foundational concept of the architectural and interior designs, including the well contemplated meals and excellent service, is deeply rooted in our many years of work experience and travels as well as in our love of and respect for the local culture and traditions from Bontoc, Mountain Province in the Cordilleras.
Romy also has more than 35 years of experience under his belt as an environmental and conservation activist, having served as head of the Philippine government’s sea turtle and dugong (sea cow) conservation program. He also headed the country offices of two of the world’s largest non-government organizations, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Conservation International (CI) as Country Director.

Therefore, he can tell you so much about the value of biodiversity conservation and is always happy to share some of his incredible stories over a cold glass of rum coke. To show you the marine biodiversity first hand, enjoy the most excellent and safest diving services offered at the Guesthouse, which are the fruits of Romy’s extensive diving experience since 1979.
